1) What happens at ESSERC Conferences?

  • Tutorials and Workshops on Monday.

A Tutorial or Workshops introduces a topic for those who are new and want to learn the basics.

Yor are free to attend any Tutorial or Workshop. 

  • Conference Technical Sessions on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday

Invited Speakers give talks about the state of the field. These are high-level papers and give the audience the industry trends and vision.  Even if you are not interested in the specific topic, it is usually worth attending to know the state-of-the-art direction of circuits.

Authors of accepted paper present their work during Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday technical session. Typically, there are six/seven sessions going on in parallel, and attendees can attend any of them. You are absolutely free to move from one session to another.

2) What are the paper submission deadlines?

ALL submissions must be made on-line from https://epapers2.org/esserc2024/ESR/login.php

  • Decision notification: May 24, 2024 23:59 (UTC -0700)

Accepted authors will then be required to submit a final paper, and all instructions will be included in the acceptance notifications. Due to publication deadlines, no time extensions will be granted. Once final submission has closed, this version of your paper is considered final and may not be changed for any reason.

3) My paper has been rejected. Is it possible to contact the reviewers in order to get some further clarifications to help improve? 

Your submission is reviewed by the Technical Program Committee for technical merit and suitability for the overall conference program. The Technical Program Committee cannot give any further clarification.

4) I am a co-author of two papers. May I present both? 

For each paper independently, at least one co-author is required to register for the Conference (one registration-one paper policy)

If you are a co-author of two or more  papers, and want to present all of them, you should register and pay the registration fee for every paper. Each time you register, make sure to include a different ID PAPER in your registration form.

Nevertheless we do encourage that a single author presents not more than one paper, so to have as many presenters as possible enjoying our networking activities . 

5) I am a student and my paper has been accepted.  Is a student registration fee accepted to comply with the one registration-one paper policy?

Yes, a student registration fee is accepted to comply with the one registration-one paper policy.

However, the student must also attend the conference in person and present the paper.

If there are any changes to the presenting author, the applicable registration fee will be required.

6) I am a presenter. What shall I do? 

You will be contacted by your Session Chair or Workshop/Tutorial organizers to make sure that everything is in order.

7) May I attend the Conference even though I haven't submitted a paper? 

You are very welcome to attend Workshops, Tutorials and the Conference even if you haven't submitted a paper or if your submitted paper was unfortunately rejected.

8) I need an invitation letter for my Visa. What shall I do? 

Please follow the instructions you find here.

The invitation letter will only be sent to delegates who have paid the registration fee.

In case of visa refusal, the amount paid for registration is refundable, except for an administrative fee of EUR 50.

9) I am a presenter.   If I won't be able to travel  due to VISA problem, can I transfer my registration to a co-author attending the conference?

Yes, of course. 

  • At least one author per accepted paper must be registered AND attend the conference to present their paper.

  • IEEE reserves the right to exclude any accepted paper from distribution after the conference (including, removal from IEEE Xplore) if the accepted paper is not presented at the conference.

10) Will the ESSRC 2024 Conference be on line?

No, we plan to have a fully in-person event.

 

11) What do delegates wear?

There is no official dress code. 

12) Can I download the PowerPoint of the CONFERENCE presentations?

According to the ESSERC conference policy, PowerPoint presentations from the conference are not made available for download—only the papers are accessible.
