Instructions for SPEAKERS

Presentations should be prepared in PowerPoint, using the available presentation template. (download template) 

​​Presentations and questions must be delivered in English, as English is the official language of the Conference.

​​

An assistant will be available on site to show how to use the computer to run the presentation.

 

Speakers will not be allowed under any circumstances to come with their own laptop. It will not be possible to connect it.

TUTORIALS and WORKSHOPS presenters

  • First draft of slides by June 15th

  • Final slides draft, including updates based on suggestions from draft1 by August 15th 

CONFERENCE presenters

The duration of a regular presentation is 25 minutes including questions and answers (Q&A) after the presentations.

(20 min talk + 5 min Q&A).

Timing is crucial at ESSERC 2024 and, therefore, we kindly ask you not to go beyond your time limit.

To facilitate the logistics process, we kindly request that paper presenters upload their presentation files and a short bio (one paragraph) by Sunday, September 1, using the following link:

Naming your files correctly is utterly important! Make sure to follow these instructions:

  • YOUR PRESENTATION (PDF FILE)

session code_paper ID_presenter's last name (i.e: A0aL-H_1538_BIRON.pdf)
 

  • YOUR PRESENTATION (PPTX FILE)

session code_paper ID_presenter's last name (i.e: A0aL-H_1538_BIRON.pptx)
 

  • YOUR short BIO (PDF FILE)

session code_paper ID_BIO_presenter's last name (i.e: A0aL-H_1538_BIO_BIRON.pptx)

We advise you to contact your session chair to get feedback on your slides before you upload them.

To mitigate the risk of PowerPoint compatibility issues, we strongly recommend submitting presentation files in PDF format. However, authors may also provide their presentations in PPTX format, accompanied by a PDF version as a backup. In the event that the PPTX version encounters any compatibility issues with the available computer, we will readily fall back to the PDF option.
